STN Sports Expands to Las Vegas Strip, Mesquite
Key Highlights
Station Casinos plans to launch its sports betting brand STN Sports at three new locations in Nevada. Specifically, kiosks will be installed at the Treasure Island Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, as well as at the CasaBlanca Resort and Virgin River Hotel & Casino in Mesquite. Approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board has already been granted. The final decision will be made by the Nevada Gaming Commission on April 24, 2025. If approved, the new locations are expected to go live by the end of May 2025.
Expansion to the Strip and Mesquite
With the planned location at Treasure Island, STN Sports will enter the Las Vegas Strip for the first time. This is a strategically important move, as the Strip is considered the hub of tourism and gaming in Nevada. The two additional locations in Mesquite will expand STN Sports’ reach into more rural areas of the state.
Technology and Platform Transition
At launch, STN Sports will use the platform from Stadium Technology Group at all three new locations. This platform is already in use at other Station Casinos properties. In the long term, a transition to a new software solution from GAN Limited is planned. This platform is currently in the testing phase and will eventually offer enhanced betting options, including in-game betting, as well as access to live sports and horse racing.
Staffing Structure at the New Locations
At Treasure Island, sportsbook staff will be directly employed by Station Casinos. At the two Mesquite locations, however, employees will remain with their current employers. No restructuring or rebranding of staff roles is planned at those sites.
Brand Presence and Location Details
At Treasure Island, the new area will be branded as “STN Sports at Golden Circle Sportsbook & Bar.” In Mesquite, the launch of the sports betting services will occur without any visible brand changes. Integration will happen behind the scenes, with no changes for on-site customers.
Outlook: 19 Locations in Nevada
If approval is granted as expected, STN Sports will operate 19 sports betting locations across Nevada. This will significantly strengthen Station Casinos’ market position in the state’s growing sports betting segment.
